Yes, when I was riding my bike at the top of Old Topanga Canyon two weekends ago (Santa Monica Mtn), my bicycle meter showed 110F (43.3C). I needed to stop in a shade awhile. I thought I was going to pass out. Then, I rode down Topanga Canyon to Santa Monica coastline. At the bottom, PCH, my meter showed 76F (24.4C). That's almost 20C difference in 10 miles.
