Ramadan Rubric

The following rules are imposed on all of Qatar's residents:

~ No eating (including chewing bubble gum) in public during daylight hours
~ No drinking (including water) in public during daylight hours (yes, temperatures are still 100+F)
~ No smoking in public (wish this were the case 100% of the time) during daylight hours
~ Restaurants, cafes and juice stalls to remain closed during daylight hours

These rules come accompanied with the following caution:
Please exercise caution when driving around town, especially around sunset, as the number of traffic accidents increases during Ramadan.

Rad! More accidents due to hypoglycemia and dehydration. Maybe you will have a near death experience and discover the meaning of life.
